ASTALDI GROUP places Sustainability among the values at the base of its own business model and business development. Sustainability is a founding principle of the Group’s Code of Ethics, a value-generating asset, and a challenge to be tackled in order to constantly improve competitiveness. This is a path which ASTALDI GROUP undertakes daily through the construction of high-quality, state-of-the-art works.
In order to support such a commitment, ASTALDI GROUP has developed its own business model to further integrate Sustainability into the Group’s strategies, processes and activities.
The commitments and targets which the Group’s Sustainability Model is based on, set out in the “ASTALDI’s Sustainability Policy” document, include:
- Construction of works improving life: infrastructures we build increase areas’ competitiveness and attractiveness and, indirectly, the social wellbeing of the people who live there;
- Pursuit of a Value-based approach as a shared asset: linking the Group’s successes and social progress drives to tangible improvements to the quality of life in affected areas, thanks to the Group’s economic achievements;
- Promotion and pursuit of employees’ wellbeing through health and life protection programmes in the workplace, but also of the development of skills and knowledge;
- Face global challenges from climate change and pollution by monitoring projects through appropriate organizational and management tools, taking advantage of the boosts provided by the new energy investment sectors with the aim of overcoming fossil fuels dependency;
- Commitment to sustainable development including Suppliers, Firms and Professionals as well, through strict selection, qualification and measurement of performance achieved.
